Stubborn pockets of fat can build up over the years and remain, even when you’re careful about what you eat and exercise regularly. If you have fat in your hips, belly, or other problem areas that won’t go away, SculpSure® might help. At Total Care Family Practice, Dr. Evan Allen offers SculpSure for patients in Henderson, Nevada, who are having a hard time eliminating fat in certain areas.
SculpSure gives you another option for losing excess fat when you don’t want to go through an invasive procedure, such as liposuction. This type of procedure helps you erase fat in specific areas, such as your belly.
Since SculpSure is noninvasive, it offers a safer way to lose fat without the risk of infections, bleeding, muscle damage, and other complications. You also don’t have to take time off from work to recover after having this done.
SculpSure uses laser energy to heat up and harm fat cells in certain areas. Your body naturally erases these damaged cells, which reduces stubborn fat in the treated areas. The laser energy from the SculpSure device doesn’t hurt cells in surrounding areas or damage your skin.
SculpSure isn’t painful, but it’s common to feel certain sensations when you have these treatments done.
When Dr. Allen begins your treatment, you might feel a cooling sensation on your skin in the treated areas. This cooling sensation might turn to a warmer one when the SculpSure device emits laser energy. After your treatment, the targeted area might have a tingling sensation.
It depends on how much fat you need to lose in the targeted areas and how many areas need treatment. In general, you can expect to need more treatments if you have a greater amount of fat to lose or pockets of fat in multiple areas.
Dr. Allen can give you a better idea of how many SculpSure treatment sessions you’ll likely need overall to get the results you want.
SculpSure results start showing up as your body reduces damaged fat cells, which can take at least six weeks or more, but that varies from patient to patient.
Once the fat cells are gone from your body, they won’t come back. However, you can get new fat cells in the same areas, especially if you’re not careful about your diet and don’t get regular physical activity.
